To get your books, just log in to the BookFunnel app or my.bookfunnel.com using the email address provided earlier (or using your Kickstarter email, however you collected their email for delivery). If you log in and your BookFunnel library is empty, log in to BookFunnel using your other email address to get your books. Any questions, let me know!

The survey will close on Friday, May 30th. At that point, cards will be charged for shipping, and books will start going out. The books are largely here, except for the VHS hardcovers. They are on track to be here the first week of June. I'll keep you posted on progress!

Surveys Are Out!

Surveys have gone out from BackerKit!
The smoke test went well, so I'm sending all the surveys! Please check your email in case it ended up in spam. The surveys help with making sure I have the right address or email to send rewards to, and also gives you a chance to add some more goodies if you're interested.
I'll give the process a couple weeks. Once the surveys are complete, I'll lock orders and charge cards for those paying for shipping and additional add-ons. And the books will start to go out! The ARCADE edition paperbacks are already here, and they are AMAZING! Everything is on track with the hardcovers, and I expect they will be here the first week of June or so.
Digital rewards will go out next week so you can have some holiday reading! 🙂

You voted for the Dead Malls Member Card as the last stretch goal for the campaign, and all physical backers will get one with their books! This might be the coolest book-related thing I've ever done. You'll also be able to order extras if you wish with your survey.
Speaking of which...
I'm sending the survey smoke test today! No, I'm not announcing a new pope, but testing the surveys to complete fulfillment. A smoke test is a way for me to ensure no issues or errors in the survey process. 5% of backers will receive their survey via the test, so if you get one, I would appreciate it if you filled it out so I can make sure everything is good!
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey.
When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. All the surveys will go out next week! I'll give everybody about two weeks to complete theirs, charge cards, and then sometime in June, books will go out!

Dead Malls VHS Hardcover Proof First Look!

Here's your first look at the Dead Malls limited edition VHS hardcover!
This proof features custom end papers and sprayed edges, and is a thing of beauty!
The order for the books has been placed, and I expect them to arrive around early to mid-June (they're coming from the UK). Paperback copies will be here around the same time, if not sooner. You can order additional copies when surveys go out, which I anticipate to be on 5/21. I'll send a 'smoke test' next week to a small number of backers to make sure there are no bugs. My goal is for everyone to have completed their surveys by 6/4.
Then fulfillment will begin!

The Kickstarter has successfully FUNDED! 🥳
And at the last minute, we passed $2000, unlocking the Dead Malls Member Card! This will be included with the paperback and hardcover tiers!!!
I can't thank you enough for your support! I know there is a lot of uncertainty out there in the world, so it means a lot that you've chosen to back this project and put your faith in me.
I see a few pledges where the credit card details either didn't go through, or the bank may be wondering what this Kickstarter thing is all about. Please check your Kickstarter messages and payment details to make sure everything is good! Kickstarter gives you a week to resolve your details, and I don't want anyone to miss out on their rewards! It takes about two weeks for Kickstarter to process the funds, and then fulfillment begins!

Click here to fill out a quick Google Form with how you wish your name to appear in the acknowledgments page! Please respond within 3 days so I can update the book ASAP! After 3 days with no response, I'll go with your backer name as it appears in Kickstarter.
Mid-Late May
I'll be sending out a reward survey via BackerKit on or about May 23rd, asking for your email and/or mailing address so I can get your books delivered correctly. Please fill this out! This will also give you a further opportunity to purchase add-ons if you so choose. Once those are complete, all digital rewards will be released, including the ebook and digital art package.
***At this point, backers of physical tiers will pay for shipping.***

Once those funds are collected, fulfillment will begin on the physical items.
I'd prefer to do everything on Kickstarter, and hopefully by my next campaign (sometime in the fall if everything goes to plan), I can. They are now in beta on a fulfillment manager that should remove the need to go off-platform for this part of the process.
Summer
I am printing the hardcovers through a printer in the UK. It takes about 6-8 weeks for them to process orders. I am waiting on the hardcover proof at the moment, and once that is in hand (early to mid-May) and any necessary adjustments are made, I will then immediately place the order for the books. Allowing for unexpected delays and shipping times, I fully expect to get everyone their signed hardcover books by the end of the summer!
Paperbacks are printed in the States and have a faster turnaround time, and backers of that tier (or paperback add-ons) will get theirs as soon as the books are delivered to me. I expect to have those copies in hand by the end of May, for delivery thereafter.
I'll keep everyone up to date on progress throughout the entire fulfillment process.
