We've got less than a day to go in the campaign!

I really appreciate the support and enthusiasm in helping us get to our next stretch goal, the Dead Malls Membership Card! We're less than $100 away at the moment, so this is your last chance to boost the signal and tell all your sci-fi horror fans to come join us! 

I see your comments, tweets, and posts, and I really appreciate it. The last few days of a campaign are anxiety-inducing (well, the whole thing is!), but I am deeply grateful for all your support. If unlocked, the membership card would come in a protective plastic sleeve and be included in all physical tiers. It's also the last chance to get any add-ons! We're in the last three days! ⏲

We're closing in on our next stretch goal: the Dead Malls Membership Card! As popular as this choice was, we need to make it happen. Share your love for the campaign and help spread the word! I appreciate all the support in making this campaign a real success.

I've also received the first proof for the paperback edition! As you can see, the alignment from the printer was a little off on the trim (easily adjusted), but otherwise, the book has turned out very well. The duplex printing really makes the mall map directory pop! Reminder the ARCADE edition paperback will not be available after the campaign, so this is your chance to get it!

My friend Al Hess created the cover illustration for Dead Malls (and most of my other books), and right now, he's prelaunching his next novel WASTELAND HEART on itch.io!

For you core and super backers, there is a crowdfunding element to this, as well. You can name a minor or major character and help support Al - go check it out!!!

We've unlocked custom sprayed edges for the Dead Malls VHS Hardcover edition!!! 🎉 The sprayed edges feature an 8-bit rendition of the strange TV glow that spreads through the mall in the story... there's an arcade element to it for reasons that will be revealed in the book 👀

The next goal... well, I need your help! I thought about a bookmark, but I wanted to do something unique for the campaign, and came up with something that fits the VHS theme. But I can't make up my mind. So... the next stretch goal is up to you!

Getting Closer To Sprayed Edges & New Reward Tier!

We're getting closer to our next stretch goal!

At $1500, we'll unlock custom sprayed edges for the hardcover edition! Let's make it happen!

I'm also introducing a new reward tier! I host a One-Hour Short Story Workshop at major cons like Indianapolis Comic Con, Twin Cities Con, and others coming this year! In the workshop, I teach ready-to-work tips and tools to aspiring writers, who then put them to work right there in the room. These tools are inspired by my writing journey, with stories published in Strange Horizons, Interzone, Fantasy Magazine, and elsewhere. As an indie author, I know how hard it is not to know where to start. I want to help as best I can, and hopefully, this workshop will accomplish that. It will be a two-part sequence: lecture/writing, and then review.
